Bodybuilding and Pain killers?
I workout very often, i am a Model not a body builder, but now i have been having neck pains for couple of weeks now and its chronic pain, i guess its because of the chair i sit whenever i am watching movies, because i watch up to 4 movies every day.. Please people can you tell m, Can take any pain killers? would it harm or disturb the development of my muscles???
Anti-inflammatories were actually shown to slightly (very slightly) benefit development – but no painkillers to my knowledge reduce muscle growth unless they are over-done.
The main issue is continuing to strain your neck – as the pain will be masked.
Just don’t go overboard – since you are not a body builder, you should be able to be fine doing a couple of weeks light work – it will also allow your normally hard working body some time to recover, and these gaps can actually allow full adaption and growth to occur.
Short answer: whatever benefit/issue they give – it will not be significant enough to notice by any means other than 100% measurement. Just don’t make it worse by masking the pain for weeks on end.
