Can Heat Damage the Protein in Supplements?
I am doing some bodybuilding and am eating 6 small meals a day instead of 3 big ones. To facilitate this I am using some food replacement supplements (powerbars and the like).
I recently bought some meal replacement bars and have found that they have melted somewhat at least once while in their wrappers. I heard somewhere that high heat can destroy the protein content, but I do not know whether or not this is true.
Please answer only if you are sure you are correct.
real strong heat can affect the protien, but not the heat you’re talking about.
you should keep all your supplements in a cool dry place though, away from direct sunlight.
